Smooth Low Tide

where the water meets the shore

Kala and I ran up a small rise and were overjoyed to find the source of the blue
glow we had been following.
There was a beach, and the water was calm. It had reflected the last light of the sky
into the forest, leading us out. As we walked onto the sand, I looked up and down
the beach and realized I knew where we were. We were near to home and would
be sleeping in our own beds tonight.
Without a glance behind, we headed up the beach and towards home.
The sound of water softy lapping at the shore put to rest the fears of only moments
before and Kala walked beside me, content now that we knew the way.
